Gluten-Free Bagels

In an attempt to bring everyone into our bagel world, we offer a gluten-free option made by Mama Alana’s Pantry. Her delicious bagels arrive to our shop sealed in 3-pack bags and are 100% gluten free, nut free and vegan. We slice and toast to order in a dedicated gluten-free zone however the nature of our business is gluten-full. We cannot guarantee a zero gluten experience in our shoppe.

The Story

Born of the Desire to Make a Good Bagel

A man and woman smiling, standing outside near a painted yellow vintage trailer with colorful flower designs, on a sunny day with a clear sky and trees in the background.

“Let’s learn to make bagels! That sounds like fun.” This is how it began. We researched, experimented, obsessed, and made a whole lot of bagels… some good and some not so good. Most of our successes were given to family and friends, they gave to their family and friends and a loyal following of enthusiasts grew. We needed homes for our bagel experiments so we made the business official at our beloved farmers market and soon added a groovy little sandwich camper. A good bagel should be a meal after all!

And the bagel lovers kept coming so we kept dreaming up new flavors and ideas. We needed a shoppe small enough to keep it simple and big enough for friends to gather. The ideal space eventually appeared at the ideal time and our tiny shoppe was born. Not exactly that easily but let’s keep it light. It’s important to say that this isn’t a franchise or techy sort of set up. We think of the shoppe as a glorified farmers market only with beaded curtains and an awesome egg cooker. Also, we love our family and marriage so we’re open just 3 days a week and we occasionally close the shoppe to make time for adventures. Our team is the absolute best and while we couldn’t do it without them, we want to stay hands on and in the day to day of things. Just not every single day of our lives. Balance is good!

This part is about you…the best part of making a beautiful bagel is the people who come to share in the delicious experience. Connecting with each other face to face over bagels and brew made with love, that’s what we’re up to here. We feel truly blessed for this journey we’re on and the community of passionate people we’ve gathered along the way. Thank you for joining us on this lovely ride!

Boiled & Baked

Chewy & flavorful with a crisp, bubbled crust

Five simple ingredients, true sourdough, shaped and twisted by hand, 24-hour cold fermented, boiled and baked. That’s how we do it. Old school and at the same time we like to step outside the box with our flavors and combinations. Let’s keep things interesting for everyone! On the topic of flavors, ours are always natural and get mixed into the dough not just baked on top. It’s trickier and takes more time for sure but once the boil and bake is done and it’s time for a quality control, we know it’s the only way to go.
